The Allen Bradley 1746-BAS is an SLC 500 system Basic Language Module specifically designed for seamless integration with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), printers, modems, and other devices, enabling comprehensive data collection and machine-level system integration. It features robust communication capabilities through PRT 1 and PRT 2 ports, supporting various configurations such as RS232/423, RS422/485, and DF1 protocol, with baud rates up to 19200 in full duplex. The module offers 24 KB of battery-backed RAM, advanced text editor functions, and a programming environment that supports easy data collection and interface flexibility, operating efficiently in temperatures ranging from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
