The Allen Bradley 1746-BTM is a precision-engineered Barrel Temperature Control Module for the SLC 500 system, designed to manage four zones of autotuned heat/cool PID loops for temperature control applications. It features four analog inputs, each operating as a controlled variable for a PID loop, with outputs delivered to the SLC processors data table as numeric values or time-proportioned output signals. Boasting advanced capabilities such as self-calibration, auto-tuning, input open-circuit detection, and a high level of isolation and channel bandwidth, this module supports Type J and K thermocouples and is compatible with all SLC 500 processors except the SLC 5/01. Its also configured for optimal response to broken sensors and offers an intelligent approach to loop alarms and control modes, providing flexible and reliable solutions for complex temperature control requirements.
