The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T12W22D9P is an electric Human Machine Interface (HMI) component. It belongs to the PanelView Plus 7 performance operator terminals series. Among Programmable Logic Controllers, Programmable Automatic Controller, third parties, and other suitable devices, it is utilized to enable real-time communication and data sharing.
It features an 18-bit color graphics panoramic display with a 1280 × 800 WXGA resolution. The inbuilt analog-resistant touchscreen interface, with a 1 million press actuation capability, is used for operator contact. The inbuilt twin Ethernet communication ports, which enable various network topologies, including star, linear, and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies, are used by this device to interact with associated automation devices.
It is rated IP66 and offers flush attachment to enclosures with NEMA & UL Type 14, 13, and 12 ratings. Similar to how the HMI display enables screen rotation, it supports vertical and horizontal orientations. However, this functionality is not dynamic and needs to be established before the installation of the HMI application.
This module can operate at temperatures between -25 and 70 °C (-13 and 158 °F) while not in use, at an operating height of 2000 m (6562 feet), and with a relative humidity range of 5 to 95 percent without condensation. Operating shock and vibration values for it are 15 g at 11 ms and 2 g peaking at 57–500 Hz, accordingly.
It runs a copy of the Microsoft Windows CE OS, which makes it possible to use many system features, including the FTP, VNC, PDF reader, Microsoft File viewers, remote desktop, media player, and others. HMI applications are created using FactoryTalk View Machine Version and downloaded to this device.
It supports linear or star network topologies and contains 2 high-speed USB ports, 1 SD card slot, and one audio port. Its rear LEDs indicate fault or error status to provide proper diagnostics, and it has an internal user memory of 512 MB and RAM of 512 MB. It can also remotely access applications using version 1.2 or later of FactoryTalk ViewPoint software.
It can monitor or control connected devices via text and animation displays by utilizing FactoryTalk View Machine Version software program 8 or later to construct the applications. This device's 12.1-inch backlit TFT touchscreen panel with a wide aspect ratio of 16:10 offers a crystal-clear interface and 18-bit colorful graphics with 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution.
