The National Instruments PCI-1422 is a 16-bit IMAQ frame grabber designed for seamless integration with RS-422 cameras, including part number 777959-01. Capable of achieving a pixel clock rate of 40 MHz and a maximum acquisition rate of 80 MB/s, the PCI-1422 supports a variety of digital cameras, facilitating real-time image acquisition which can be stored in onboard frame memory or transferred directly to the system memory. This device features a high-speed data flow path, making it ideal for both scientific and industrial applications. It includes four general-purpose control lines that can be configured for precise timing signals, enabling synchronization and control of camera operations. Additionally, these lines function as high-speed digital input/output or trigger signals. The PCI-1422 is equipped with a 100-pin SCSI-type connector to modulate differential-level or TTL camera control signals independently. The integrated 64 KB x 16-bit lookup table supports operations such as data inversion and contrast enhancement and is capable of handling data from multiple camera taps to enhance frame rates. The PCI-1422 operates with NI-MAQ driver software and is compatible with various application development environments, including LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Measurement Studio.
