The National Instruments PXI-2510 is a highly versatile PXI Signal Insertion Switch Module, featuring 68 channels and designed for demanding applications in electronic reliability testing and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations. This fault insertion unit allows users to create fault conditions by using dedicated feedthrough channels that enable shorting or opening connections to one or multiple fault buses. The front panel is equipped with a male 160 DIN 41612 connector, supporting up to 160 ports.

Physically, the PXI-2510 is a 3U, single-slot PXI module, weighing approximately 12.6 oz. and measuring 18.8 cm in length, 2.0 cm in width, and 13.0 cm in height. It operates on 5 V and consumes 6.6 watts of power. The module is rated for indoor use, functioning effectively in temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C, with storage capabilities from -40 °C to 70 °C. Designed to withstand altitudes up to 2,000 m, the PXI-2510 maintains a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5% to 85%.
