Generally, an AC drive like the 02A1-4 controls the speed of a three-phase AC motor by varying the frequency and voltage of the power supplied to the motor. This drive converts AC input power to DC power. It then changes it to a variable frequency and voltage AC output power.
The VFD can handle a power range of 0.75 kW to 2.2 kW (1 to 3 horsepower. The input voltage range of the ACS580-01-02A1-4 is 200 - 240VAC, single-phase or three-phase, 50/60Hz. The output voltage range of the drive is 0 to the input voltage, with a maximum output frequency of 500Hz. The drive comes in an IP20-rated enclosure, suitable for indoor use.

Operation modes:

In sensorless vector control mode, the drive ACS580-01-02A1-4 provides more accurate speed and torque control for AC motors without requiring feedback from an encoder or other sensors. This mode uses applications requiring precise motor speed and torque control, such as conveyors and mixers.

This mode uses high-performance applications, such as robotics and CNC machines, where precise motor speed and torque control are critical.
Mounting of the ACS580-01-02A1-4 VFD:
The ACS580-01-02A1-4 should be mounted clean and dry, free from excessive heat or humidity. Use the mounting template provided to mark the location of the mounting holes. Drill holes according to the template, then secure the drive using appropriate fasteners.
