Description

The Allen-Bradley 1394-SR36AF is a shunt module designed for use with 22-kilowatt motors in the 1394 digital AC multi-axis motion control system. Its primary role is to safely dissipate excess energy generated during motor braking, utilizing its 3600 continuous Watts and peaking at 160,000 Watts. Featuring two integrated fans for self-ventilation, this module prevents overheating of nearby equipment with a resistance of 4 Ohms and weighs 9 kilograms. The 1394-SR36AF can be equipped with a fuse kit accessory for enhanced safety, offering improved protection by detecting and addressing abnormal currents. Installation requires the shunt module to be connected to the system module post-power removal to ensure proper operational integration.
