TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF8V Compact I/O analog module has eight (8) different single-ended voltage outputs. The resolution is 16 bits +, and there is just one output group provided (bipolar)10-volt direct current: 15.89 bits, 330 volts each bit 0....10V DC: 14.89 bits, 330 volts per bit 0....5V DC: 13.89 bits, 330 volts per bit 1...5V DC: 13.57 bits, 330 volts per bit.
Single-ended wiring is more prone to noise and electrical interference than differential wire. To get reliable readings, ensure that you apply the correct module and signal grounding. Series A and B modules are available for the 1769-OF8V. The Series A module does not support external power supplies. The Series (B) modules allow 24VDC power by enabling this option in the settings, “Using external +24VDC Power Source.”
The 1769-OF8V module works by translating binary data stored in the CPU's memory registers. The module captures data with the analog output and converts it to analog format through the inbuilt Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). When used with a MicroLogix500 controller, data formats are specified using RSLogix500 programming software; when used with a CompactLogix controller, data formats are specified using RSLogix5000 or Studio5000 programming software. Several data formats are accessible, including raw/proportional data, engineering units, scaled for PID, and percent complete range.
This module has an output load with a maximum of 8 ending in one output and an average voltage of O to 10VDC. It has 15.89 bits and a 330V/bit resolution. At 5.1V, the 1769-OF8V draws 145Ma and dissipates heat at 2.1W. It offers you a max conversion rate of up to 5.0ms and a step response time of 2.1ms with a 63% step response.
