The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C22D9P belongs to the PanelView Plus 7 product range and is a strong graphical terminal. It features a 6.5-inch display and a touchscreen for input. A TFT colorful screen and touch interface are also included. This module instantly replicates and recovers the operator interface when used with an effective SD card. It requires 24 volts DC for input voltage and includes an LED backlight. Although the lighting cannot be changed, it has a lifespan of at least 50,000 hours at 104 degrees F (40 degrees C) at 50% brightness.

This module's touchscreen interface is an analog resistance. It includes an operative force of a maximum of 0.1 kilograms and an actuating rate of roughly one million presses. FactoryTalk View Studio / FactoryTalk ViewPoint program is employed. This software provides an environment that is typical for creating HMI applications. Additionally, a Windows-based Operating system is used. It offers more functionality and MS Office Viewers, as well as support for third-party devices like FTP, VNC client-server, ActiveX controls, and a PDF reader. It has 18-bit color graphics and a 640 by 480 VGA display resolution.

It is compatible with 1784-SDx cards and offers up to 512 MB of system memory along with 512 MB of storage. The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T7C22D9P offers 50 screens (25 adjustable and 25 on-top nameplate screens) and 500 alarms when used with FactoryTalk Machine Version 9.0 application and a link to another controller. This terminal also encourages using single or DLR Ethernet connections for network access. It uses a maximum of fifty watts of power (2.1 A @ 24 volts DC).

A colorful thin-film transistor (TFT) display measuring 6.5 inches is used. Because it only has a 132 by 99 millimeters (5.2 by 3.9 inches) viewing area, this performance terminal is best used for straightforward and compact applications. It has a color-coded interface and can display both static and moving visuals. As a result, information is available at a greater level, enabling more effective and precise control. The touchscreen mechanism of the touch input interface enables direct contact with runtime elements without referring to external keyboards, giving the module a convenient input interface. The touchscreen interface should ideally be used with a gloved finger or stylus and an actuating force of 0.1 kilograms.

It has two Ethernet connections because it is a performance terminal and supports star, device-level ring, and linear topologies. This mainly serves as a means of integration and communication for data stored within the memory of automation systems. It can also interact with earlier controllers like the SLC500 & MicroLogix, and Allen-Bradley Logix controllers. Additionally, the HMI may be connected using these ports as a part of plant-level and workplace control elements. It has auto-negotiation functionality, 10/100 Mbps transmission rate, and may be enhanced via a repeater or media converter device.

In addition to the standard features like File Transfer Protocol (FTP), VNC remote monitoring, PDF file support, and Active-X commands, the improved version of the Windows-based Operating System allow this module to offer an Office Software file reader as well as Windows Media Player operations.
