The model HF-KP43K is a servo motor manufactured by Mitsubishi. The model features a special output shaft with keyways and an ultra-low moment of inertia. The model is designed to be low in capacity while producing considerable torque, which is essential in several applications. A diverse number of servo drives or amplifiers can be used with this efficient general-purpose servo motor HF-KP43K.

Technical Information

The HF-KP43K motor is encased to combat excessive heat in a housing ideal for natural cooling. The housing has an IP65 dust and liquid rating and an insulation class of 130(B). The model has a moment of inertia of 0.42 x 10-4 kgm2 and can rotate at a maximum speed of 6000 revolutions per minute. The servo motor HF-KP43K is equipped with a speed/position detector, an encoder-like absolute position, and incremental detection systems. The model HF-KP43K generated a maximum torque of 4.46 Nm with a maximum current consumption of 9.5 A while running at a capacity of 350 percent.

The model HF-KP43K weighs 1.5 kilograms and generates a rated power of 0.4 kW while consuming a rated current of 2.7 A. The vibration resistance for the model in the X and Y direction is 49 m/s2. This model's compatible servo and drive unit are MR-J3- 40A1/B1/B1-RJ006/T and MR-J3- 40A1/B1/B1-RJ006/T1, respectively. Preferable Ambient Conditions

It is recommended that the model HF-KP43K be used indoors, and the environment in which it is used should be devoid of corrosive gas, combustible gas, oil mist, dust, and dirt. The servo motor must be run in an environment with a temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees centigrade and a relative humidity range of 10 to 80 percent non-condensing. These conditions must be met for the motor to function correctly. The model HF-KP43K can be deployed up to one thousand meters above sea level without negatively impacting performance. When the level is exceeded, there is a possibility that the model's performance will deteriorate.

Installation and Transportation Instructions

The HF-KP43K motor requires a mounting flange with dimensions of 250 mm x 250 mm x 12 mm. The motor can be installed horizontally or vertically. To attach a pulley to the keyway on a servo motor shaft, use the screw hole at the tip of the shaft. There are three parts to installing a pulley: inserting a double-ended stud into the screw hole of the shaft, placing a washer on the end face of the coupling, and inserting and tightening a nut. Fasten the HF-KP43K servo motor firmly to the equipment. The servo motor might cause damage if it came free during operation and wasn't adequately secured.

The HF-KP43K should only be transported within a temperature range of -15 to 70 degrees centigrade. While transporting the motor, the relative humidity must be between 10 to 90 percent (non-condensing). Put the equipment where it can bear load following the manual's recommendations. The lifting eyebolts are only meant to raise the servo motor itself. If the servo motor is already attached to a machine, it cannot move it.
