The National Instruments PXI-7030/6040E is a 12-Bit Multifunction I/O module designed for reliable real-time control and measurement applications, featuring a dedicated onboard processor that enables it to achieve single PID loop rates of 1 kHz. Operating within the Real-Time (RT) family, the PXI-7030/6040E integrates an independent CPU running a real-time operating system, allowing users to deploy LabVIEW applications in a deterministic environment. This architecture seamlessly integrates real-time control tasks with various measurement devices on the same computer, ensuring continuity even in the event of a computer crash, as the real-time system remains operational and reestablishes connection with the host application automatically. The device provides 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog inputs, both at a resolution of 12 bits and a sampling rate of 100 kS/s, alongside 2 analog outputs with an output range of ±10 V.
