The National Instruments SLSC-12001 chassis (Part Number: 784532-01) is a robust 12-slot solution designed for use with Switch Load Signal Conditioning (SLSC) modules. It features an optional Rear Transition Interface (RTI) and integrated protection mechanisms, providing trigger lines and power distribution to facilitate efficient signal conditioning and switching functions. This chassis operates on an external +24 V DC power supply, distributing power to the connected SLSC modules via an internal power supply bus that offers overvoltage, reverse voltage, and short circuit protection at each module slot.

Communication with each module is managed through a standard Ethernet interface, with the chassis ensuring seamless connectivity with a host computer. Upon powering the SLSC-12001, the POWER LED lights green, followed by the STATUS LED indicating operational readiness. Additionally, it includes a replaceable lithium cell battery (Tadiran TL-2450) for real-time clock information storage. Power consumption is approximately 45 W with no modules installed and can reach up to 720 W when fully loaded. The chassis supports a maximum Ethernet cable length of 100 meters and a power input cable length of up to 3 meters, making it versatile for various applications.
