TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Schneider Electric 140NOE77110

The Schneider Electric 140NOE77110 is an Ethernet network module from the Quantum series of programmable automation controllers (PACs) manufactured by Schneider Electric. This module is designed to provide high-speed communication capabilities for industrial automation applications.

Key Features of the Ethernet Network Module:

The module can connect to Ethernet networks and communicate with other devices such as PLCs, HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems since it supports 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection.

It is compatible with the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, widely used in industrial automation for device communication. As a result, the module can be easily integrated into existing Modbus-based systems.

Because the 140NOE77110 module enables hot standby redundancy, it can be used in redundant setups for better system reliability. If the primary module fails, the standby module effortlessly takes over communication functions.

The module contains a built-in web server, which allows users to remotely access and configure the module using a standard web browser. This function allows quick access to module configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

LEDs on the module indicate the condition of the Ethernet link, module power, and module activity. These LEDs give visual input on the operational state of the module, which aids in troubleshooting and monitoring.

It is intended for use with Schneider Electric's Quantum family of PACs. Integrating into a Quantum automation system is simple, providing smooth communication between the system's various modules and devices.

The module is compatible with Device Type Manager, a software component that allows for smooth integration with engineering and diagnostic tools such as Unity Pro for fast module configuration and management. DTM support simplifies setup and improves interoperability with other devices and software applications.

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), a commonly used network management protocol, is supported by the 140NOE77110 module. The module can be connected into network monitoring and management systems with SNMP support, allowing remote monitoring of its status, performance, and diagnostics.

Cyber Security Features:

The 140NOE77110 module incorporates several cybersecurity features to ensure the protection and integrity of industrial networks.

HTTPS (HTTP Secure), SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security), and SSH (Secure Shell) are among the secure communication protocols supported by the module. These protocols encrypt communication between the module and other devices or software programs, preventing unauthorized access and ensuring data confidentiality and integrity over the network.

User authentication measures are included in the module to govern access to its configuration and administrative operations. It enables administrators to create and manage user accounts with varying levels of authority, ensuring that only authorized users can change the module's settings.

The module provides IP and MAC filtering, allowing administrators to specify a list of trusted IP and MAC addresses to communicate with the module. This feature improves network security by preventing unauthorized devices from accessing the module.

It has firewall capabilities for filtering and controlling network traffic. Firewall rules can be defined by administrators to prohibit or allow specific forms of communication based on IP addresses, ports, or protocols. This helps to safeguard the module and the network against unauthorized access and cyber threats.

The 140NOE77110 module can log events and activities, recording critical security-related events. These logs can be used for audits, allowing administrators to track unauthorized access attempts, configuration changes, or aberrant module activity.

Schneider Electric protects the firmware's integrity through cryptographic checksums or digital signatures. This confirms that the firmware has not been tampered with or altered, ensuring that the module is running genuine and secure software.
