TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RP1 is a logical module from the PanelView Plus part product line. It supports many interfaces and hosts the PanelView Plus operator terminal's processor and appropriate memory spaces.
The display module's back is connected to this logic module. It features 64 MB of flash storage, which is used to store items like application backups, guides, logs, instructions, reports, and other system files, and 64 MB of RAM, which is used for the operator terminal's execution interface. Through the PCI slot, it is linked to the circuitry of the display module. The components of this module are susceptible to static electricity, so correct footing must be followed before installing it.
It can be used along with PanelView Plus operator terminals 1500, 1250, 1000, and 700. As every PanelView Plus operator terminal ranging from 700 to 1500 comes with a logic module already installed, this item is replaceable hardware. Similarly to that, a logic module is necessary for a perfectly functioning PanelView Plus terminal.
An external 24VDC power source is used to power it. It comes equipped with common communication connectors such as an Ethernet connection, a 9-pin tiny DIN RS232 connector, and Connectors. The PanelView terminal is connected to several controllers via the Ethernet port using the Ethernet I/P standard, while peer-to-peer contacts are made using the RS232 interface. Ethernet can reach greater distances with a maximum range of 100 meters that can be quickly increased. For small distances, usually within the panel, the RS232 connectivity is perfect. Two USB ports are also included with this logic module for attaching peripherals like mice and keyboards.
It is attached to the display module with six screws and can support a communication module if the grey marking on the logic module's rear is removed. Always ensure the logic module is not powered before connecting it to the display module. The remote desktop connection, Media Player, and WordPad text editing software are just a few other optional functions that come with this module. It features one Ethernet port, two USB connectors, and one RS-232 interface. Additionally, it has a CompactFlash card slot where memory cards can be inserted. Don't ever insert memory cards into the device while it is powered on.
With the FactoryTalk View ME application, this module can be customized to handle both straightforward and intricate industrial automation projects. Only environments with a room temperature between 0 to 55 degrees Centigrade are safe for the module to operate in. The only upkeep needed for this machine is a periodic washing of collected dust and a visual check of the connectors. It uses 24 volts of Power supply to operate. To identify processes, this module provides built-in status indicators. The USB, CompactFlash, & Ethernet ports are additional slots that are available for effective communication.
