The Allen Bradley 150-A05NB-D1-8L4 SMC-2 Smart Motor Starter is a sophisticated solid state motor controller designed for 3-phase induction motors in industrial settings. It features a digital setup with microcomputer starting capabilities, offering three standard operational start modes in a compact unit. With standard ratings of 5A and 2.2KW at 368 Volts AC, and 3 HP at 460 Volts AC input, it accommodates a voltage input range of 380 to 460 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. Enhanced by a 1400 Volts peak inverse voltage capacity and DV/DT protection via a Resistor/Capacitor snubber network, it ensures reliable performance, along with a solid-state overload relay from 1.0A to 2.9A providing Class 10 Overload protection. This open type module, requiring an enclosure for operation, is designed with easy configurability using DIP and Rotary Digital Switches.
