The Allen-Bradley 150-A500NBD smart motor controller is an advanced soft motor starter specifically engineered to manage the microprocessor-controlled start of 3-phase squirrel-cage induction motors in vital applications. This compact controller supports motors rated from 5 to 500 Horsepower, operating on a 3-phase line voltage range of 200 to 480 Volts AC, with a current capacity of 500 Amps at 48 Volts AC and a peak repetitive inverse voltage rating of 1400 Volts AC. It features multiple motor starting modes, including soft start with a selectable kick start, current limit start, and full voltage start, as well as energy saver functionality for efficiency in low-load situations. Enhanced protection is offered with stall protection and advisory and diagnostic LED indicators for real-time monitoring. Installation is streamlined with its open style design, programmable auxiliary contacts, and configurable DIP and rotary switches for flexible control across various setups, all within an operational temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.
