The Allen Bradley 150-A850JBD Smart Motor Controller from the SMC Plus series offers advanced motor management capabilities for standard three-phase squirrel cage induction motors. This solid-state controller supports Full Voltage, Soft Start, and current limit start modes, enhancing motor control and efficiency. Compatible with both motor and resistive load control, it features optional functionalities such as soft stop, pump control, preset slow speed, and Smart Motor Braking (SMB) for precise motor operation. It handles input voltages between 200 and 460 Volts at 50 or 60 Hertz, supporting up to 850 A and 10 to 700 Hp at 460 Volts. The controller is adaptable to various enclosures, including a NEMA Type 12, and integrates easily using DIP and rotary digital switches. With its intelligent design, this unit provides robust motor protection against shorted SCRs and phase loss, equipped with pre-start and stall run protection, and it includes a built-in energy saver for low-load conditions.
