The Allen Bradley 1746-A2 is a compact 2-slot expansion chassis designed for SLC 500 systems, offering essential flexibility by accommodating either the 1747 SLC processor or the 1746 I/O modules. This modular chassis measures 5.5 x 7 x 4 inches and has a lightweight build of 0.3 kilograms, necessitating a separate power supply capable of backplane currents of up to 10 A at 5.1 Volts DC and 2.88 A at 24 Volts DC. Suitable for non-hazardous environments, it supports interconnection with up to three chassis for expanded module capacity, maintaining optimal operation within a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 5% to 95% without condensation.
