The 1746-NR8 is a versatile RTD/Resistance module designed for SLC 500 systems, compatible with both fixed and modular hardware styles, occupying a single chassis slot without the need for an external power supply due to backplane power usage. It accommodates a range of RTD types, including platinum, copper, and nickel versions, and supports 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire sensor configurations, making it ideal for precise temperature and mechanical displacement applications. With features such as a low-pass digital filter, programmable input filters, sigma-delta modulation for A/D conversion, and automatic calibration, the module ensures accurate data handling, while its operational reliability is enhanced by LED status indicators and robust isolation voltage of 500V AC.
