The 1746-P3 Power Supply module is a vital component of the SLC 500 controller platform, designed to provide consistent power to the 1746 backplane without occupying a chassis slot. It efficiently converts an input voltage of 19.2-28.8V DC to an output of 3.6 A at 5V DC and 0.87 A at 24V DC, with a typical line power requirement of 90 VA. Featuring a robust 600V AC RMS isolation for up to one second, this module offers a CPU hold-up time of 5 ms at full load and 1000 ms at no load to maintain system stability during voltage drops. Certified by UL for use in Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations, the 1746-P3 is recommended for environments up to 2000 meters in altitude and operates efficiently within an ambient temperature range of 32 to 140°F.
