The Allen-Bradley 1746-P5 is a compact SLC 500 power supply designed for reliability, measuring 145 x 74 x 140 mm and operating on an input voltage range of 90-146V DC with a nominal 125V DC rating. It provides robust internal current capacities of 5 A at 5V DC and 0.96 A at 24V DC, while ensuring safety with 1800V AC RMS backplane isolation for one second. The unit supports a single chassis with an LED operation indicator and features soldered, non-replaceable fuse protection against fire hazards in short-circuit scenarios. In user-power overcurrent conditions, the power supply shuts down the 24V DC user voltage, but allows the CPU to continue, highlighting its engineered resilience.
