The Allen-Bradley 1747-BSN is a robust backup scanner module designed to ensure redundancy for remote I/O applications. It facilitates seamless communication with operator interfaces through RS-232 channel switching and features a DH+ link, enabling efficient data exchange. With its dual-channel capability, the 1747-BSN can be configured for RIO or DH+ on the first channel and offers RS-232/485 functionality for electronic interface connections on the second channel. This module excels in maintaining system continuity by offering High-Speed Serial Link (HSSL) for real-time data synchronization between primary and secondary processors and a Local Serial Link (LSL) for status updates among multiple modules on the same chassis. It operates efficiently within 32-140 °F and supports a broad range of environmental conditions with a relative humidity tolerance of 5-95%.
