The Allen-Bradley 1747-DPS1 is a versatile port splitter module designed for use with various Allen-Bradley controllers, including SLC 500 and ControlLogix. It enables the expansion of an RS232 interface by supporting DF1 communication protocol, facilitating simultaneous connections through its two serial ports, where the primary port offers two-way data exchange and the secondary port serves as a respond-only connection, ideal for HMIs or programming workstations. Featuring robust communication capabilities with a speed up to 19.2 Kbps, this module also automatically adapts to match the controllers CRC or BCC checksum and is equipped with status LED indicators for monitoring. The 1747-DPS1 is powered by an external 24V DC source and has a compact form factor, ensuring reliable performance in environments up to 60 degrees Celsius.
