The Allen-Bradley 1747-DSN is a distributed I/O scanner designed for efficient communication within an SLC processor environment, utilizing a round-robin mode to manage data exchange across multiple I/O blocks. This module ensures effective data transmission by initiating output data transmission to the I/O block, which reliably responds with corresponding input data. Operating efficiently in temperatures ranging from 32 to 140 °F and supporting robust storage conditions from -40 to 185 °F, it features a backplane current consumption of 900 mA at 5V. The 1747-DSN supports a DIO system configuration via a DIO Link and DH-485 Data Link, allowing integration with up to 30 I/O blocks over a maximum cable distance of 2,500 feet using Belden 9463 cable, ensuring high-speed and reliable control data transfer.
