The Allen-Bradley 1747-KFC15 is an SLC500 ControlNet RS-232 interface module that serves as a crucial communication bridge between the SLC 500 processor and the ControlNet network. This module connects via a standard ControlNet coaxial tap using one or both of its BNC connectors, providing versatile half duplex and full duplex compatibility through its RS-232C serial port using the DF1 protocol. Designed for effective network access without disrupting wiring, the 1747-KFC15 can be configured with DIP and rotary switches and requires installation within an enclosure for safety, operating efficiently in temperatures from 32°F to 140°F and tolerant of storage conditions as low as -40°F and as high as 185°F.
