The Allen-Bradley 1747-L40A is a reliable fixed hardware controller in the SLC 500 series, designed with integrated I/O, CPU, and memory systems. It features 24 discrete 120V AC input channels and 16 relay output channels, operating on an AC voltage range of 85-265V at 47-63 Hz. With a 1K instruction capacity and capacitor-backed RAM, it optionally supports memory backup via EEPROM and UVPROM, ensuring robust performance with a typical scan time of 8 milliseconds per 1K instructions and a program scan hold-up time of 20-700 milliseconds after power loss. Capable of expansion with up to two additional modules via a 1746-A2 chassis, this compact PLC is suitable for a wide ambient temperature range, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in various industrial environments.
