The Allen-Bradley 1747-L40F is an integral component of the SLC 500 system, offering the remarkable power and adaptability of a larger PLC in a compact, fixed controller. It features a processor with 1,024 words of user memory, 12 DC Sink inputs, and 8 DC transistor source outputs, all powered by a 24V DC line. Designed for efficient performance, it provides a high-speed counter, a bit execution time of 4 microseconds, and a typical scan time of 8 milliseconds per 1K. The controller supports communication over long distances through its RS-232 port and offers EEPROM backup for its capacitor-based RAM memory. Environmentally robust, it includes a NEMA-compliant enclosure for noise protection and operates between 0 - 60°C. The 1747-L40F can be expanded with a two-slot chassis for additional I/O modules and integrates seamlessly with other network modules such as ControlNet and DeviceNet, offering extensive flexibility and customization for various industrial applications.
