The Allen Bradley 1747-L511 SLC 5/01 Processor is a versatile entry-level module within the SLC 500 system, ideal for applications such as small process control and material handling. It offers a 1KB user memory supporting up to 960 local digital I/O signals, with impressive scan times of 8 milliseconds per program keyword and 2.6 milliseconds for I/O. Designed for clean and dry industrial environments, the 1747-L511 features 350 mA backplane current at 5 Volts DC, supports a maximum of three local I/O chassis, and provides robust diagnostics through LED status indicators. The processor includes EEPROM for non-volatile memory backup and a lithium battery maintaining RAM integrity, ensuring reliability and data retention even against power surges. Although it cannot initiate DH-485 communications, it can effectively participate, making it a solid choice for SCADA deployments.
