The Allen-Bradley 1747-L524, known as the SLC 5/02, is a robust modular controller in the SLC 500 family, featuring an integrated memory capacity of 4KB for storing instructions. It supports a diverse range of analog, digital, scanner, and intelligent I/O modules, and although it cannot be used with the 1746-BLM and 1746-MPM modules, it offers compatibility with DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Universal Remote I/O systems. It features a DH-485 communication port facilitating interactions with HMIs, SCADA, and third-party systems like PLC 5, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix, and it also supports advanced features such as PID control, address indexing, and handling 32-bit signed arithmetic operations. With its maximum local and remote I/O capabilities of 4096 points, it presents reliable performance in harsh environments, with an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and notable resistance to vibration and shock.
