The Allen-Bradley 1747-SDN is a robust DeviceNet communication scanner module that facilitates seamless interaction with DeviceNet capable devices, featuring slave mode operation and versatile messaging configurations such as Polled, Strobe, Change-of-State, and Cyclic I/O. Designed for integration with SLC 500 processors like the SLC 5/03, SLC 5/04, and SLC 5/05, this module supports efficient pass-through functionality, effectively replacing older DeviceNet connections such as the 1770-KFD and 1784 series. It can manage up to 63 nodes at a 125 Kbps baud rate, drawing a backplane current of 5V DC at 500 mA and ensuring secure communication with comprehensive status indicators, including two LED displays and an LCD for error reporting.
