TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Allen-Bradley 1756-EN2T Ethernet Industrial Protocol (EtherNet/IP) interface communication module allows for general and real-time I/O messages as well as information transmission for RCS (Real-Time Control Systems) and applications using time synchronization and motion. Additionally, it has the CIP (Common Industrial Protocol) safety standard, which enables fail-safe communication among various nodes on a safety network. It makes use of physical media and cutting-edge communication chips.
Twisted pair cables are used in the 1756-EN2T communication module, which supports EtherNet/IP communication speeds of 10-100 Mbps. It supports 128 TCP/IP connections and 256 Logix connections. It consumes 1 A of electricity at 5.1V dc and supports up to 8 axes of integrated motion across an Ethernet/IP network.
It can dissipate 5.1 Watts of electricity at its maximum and 17.4 BTU of heat per hour. In the ControlLogix chassis, it may be inserted into any available slot. It connects to the controller using category five twisted-pair cables with unshielded RJ45 (Registered Jack 45) connectors for wiring.
The 1756-EN2T interface communication module is configured at the workstation using RSLinx software. EtherNet/IP networks require the configuration of several parameters, including subnet masks, IP addresses, and a gateway. The 1756-EN2T bridge can manage messages, distributed I/O, and tagging, among other things. Messages are incorporated into the common TCP/IP protocol.
It may share a common application layer due to the ControlNet and DeviceNet networking protocols. Information storage does not require a scheduling or routing table. This module has additional features of a secured mode, electronic keying, a device-level ring network, and support for parallel redundancy protocol networks.
The ControlLogix 1756-EN2T interface communication module supports the Ethernet I/P protocol. It is possible to install this single-slot module in any available slot on a ControlLogix chassis. It includes a single RJ45 connection for connecting to an Ethernet network. Additionally, it contains a USB 1.1 connector that may initially be used to set up the module.
Multiple connections for distributed Input/Output clients, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), HMI (Human Machine Interface), and external devices may be made simultaneously using a 1756-EN2T interface communication module.
A network with a linear topology can be attached to this module. Any ControlLogix chassis, including the 1756-A13, 1756-A4, 1756-A17, 1756-A7, and 1756-A10, and ControlLogix power supplies, including the 1756-PB75, 1756-PB72, 1756-PH75, 1756-PC75, 1756-PA75, 1756-PB75 and 1756-PA72 are compatible with it.
