The Allen-Bradley 1756-IF4FXOF2F analog Input/Output module is suitable for the 1756 ControlLogix chassis and requires an RTB (Removable Terminal Block) like the 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H. Four high-speed differential inputs are available with two current or high-speed voltage outputs in the module. The module contains a display that indicates many aspects of its operation, including calibration mode and overall health.

The input ranges for the 1756-IF4FXOF2F analog combination module are ±10V, 0...10V, 0...5V, and 0...20 mA. An over-range indication is shown when the module surpasses these specified ranges. The protection for overvoltage is 30V dc and 8V ac/dc for voltage and current, respectively.

The current ratings for the backplane of the 1756-IF4FXOF2F analog combination module are 375 mA at 5.1V dc and 100 mA at 24V dc. The power used by the module is 4.3 Watts, with 4.3 Watts going to the voltage and 4.7 Watts going to the current. The analog inputs may be used to measure a variety of analog process variables, including Flow, Levels, Pressure, Temperatures, Viscosity, pH, Turbidity, and Velocity.

This module's output channel has an output resolution of 14 bits over 21.8 V and 13 bits over 21 mA. The output channel is converted with no missing codes using the R-Ladder DAC (digital-to-analog) technique.

This module's analog output signals can control signal converters, transducers, dampers, louvers, variable-frequency drives, control valves, and other modulating devices. It might also be used to retransmit signals for usage via recorders, indicators, and other devices. An arithmetic operation, a human control instruction, or the control output of a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller can all be connected to this module's analog output.
