Description
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IV32 is a robust digital input module designed for integration within the ControlLogix 1756 chassis, featuring 32 inputs divided into two groups of 16. This 12/24 Volt DC source module operates within a voltage range of 10 to 30 Volts DC and requires either a 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H removable terminal block for proper connection. It draws 120 milliamps at 5.1 Volts and 2 milliamps at 24 Volts, with a backplane power consumption of 0.66 Watts and a power dissipation of up to 4.1 Watts at 60°C. The module supports a nominal input voltage of 24 Volts DC and exhibits efficient current handling with a maximum inrush of 250 milliamps, quickly reducing to less than 37% within 22 milliseconds. For optimal signal processing, it features a configurable screw-to-backplane input delay and can handle a thermal dissipation of 14 BTU/hour at high operating temperatures.
