The Allen-Bradley 1756-M12 is an A-Series ControlLogix5555 memory expansion module designed to enhance the performance of select Allen-Bradley controllers. Offering 750 kilobytes of volatile memory, its compatible with models such as the 1756-L55 and its various versions, subject to controller firmware updates. Installation is straightforward, requiring only a #2 Phillips screwdriver, and the modules open enclosure is rated for operation between 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, withstanding non-operational temperatures from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. For seamless integration, the 1756-M12 can be used alongside the 1756-BATM battery module, although battery disconnection is necessary during installation to avoid damage.
