The Allen-Bradley 1756-RM2 is a ControlLogix Redundancy Module designed for high-speed applications with up to 1000 Mbps capability. It pairs seamlessly with 1756-L7x controllers for optimal scan performance and ensures reliability with its redundant fiber ports, eliminating any single point of failure. The module supports up to seven enhanced ControlNet and EtherNet/IP communication modules and can achieve rapid controller switchovers of up to 20 ms. It installs into a single slot in a ControlLogix chassis and supports various fiber connectivity options, allowing distances up to 10 km for communication between modules. Its compact design includes enhanced safety features and diagnostics, and it operates efficiently with a current draw of 1.16 A at 5.1V DC and 3.4 mA at 24V DC.
