TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Compact Allen-Bradley 1769-HSC I/O module links signaling devices using high-frequency switches. It is also used frequently for location control and monitoring, counter applications, and totalizer requirements.
This module, part of the 1769 I/O modules series, may be utilized with a programmable logic controller (PLC) for MicroLogix and a programmable automation controller (PAC) for CompactLogix. It can be a direct interface for encoders, transmitter pulse output, and fast sensing equipment.
The input voltage span for the 1769-HSC's two differential quadrature (ABZ) inputs is 2.6...30V dc. It takes pulses with a minimum of 250 ns in width and 131 ns in separation. This module's output channels consist of 4 physical and 12 virtual outputs, having a 5...30V dc output voltage range. For every channel, the maximum on-state current is 1 A per node and 4 A for each module.
The module's input channels operate at a frequency of 1MHz for counting and encoding operations. The integrated channels accept an input voltage ranging from 2.6V dc to 30V dc and include four internal sourcing outputs for high-speed control requirements such as positioning, speed, and movement.
According to the power supply distance rating specification, the 1769-HSC cannot be mounted further than four modules from the power source. It is not advised to install and remove the module in these circumstances since it does not permit uninstallation while using power. This module may be configured using the RSLogix 500 or the RSLogix / Studio 5000 programming software.
The 1769-HSC has a counter/encoder operating input frequency of 1 MHz and four onboard source outputs with a voltage range of 5 V dc to 30 V dc. Maximum turn-on and turn-off periods for the 1769-HSC are 400 s and 200 s, respectively. It operates between 0 and 60 °C (32 and 140 °F) and between -40 and 85 °C (-40 and 185 °F) when not in use.
