TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

A part of Allen Bradley's CompactLogix 5370 PAC (Programmable Automation Controllers) is the 1769-L19ER-BB1B. This controller is modular in design and includes input/output modules. This controller includes software written in the RSLogix 5000 application framework utilizing Relay Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Sequential Function Charts (SFC), and Structured Text (ST), among other programming languages. Including up to 8 POINT Input/Output modules may extend the 1769-L19ERBB1B's built-in16 24V dc discrete inputs and outputs.

The 1769-L19ER-BB1B includes 1 MB of volatile user memory, while the 1784-SD1 consists of 1 GB of non-volatile memory. This non-volatile memory may have a larger capacity module with a 2 GB capacity added to it using the 1784-SD2. The 1769-L19ER-BB1B has two Ethernet ports that allow it to connect to the right hardware, such as programming computers, SCADA systems, and human-machine interfaces (HMI) that make use of topologies like DLR, Linear, and Star.

These Ethernet ports can connect to 256 controllers and 128 TCP I/P devices. Additionally, it has a single USB port with a 12 Mbps data transmission rate. This port may be used for firmware upgrades using the ControlFlash tool, application uploads and downloads, and more. This controller can manage up to 100 programs for each of the 32 periodic or ongoing controller jobs that it can manage.

The 1769-L19ER-BB1B is configured and programmed using the Windows RSLogix 5000 programming application. Additional software utilities that might be used with this controller include RSLinx for establishing communications, BOOTP DHCP for IP address allocation, and ControlFlash for firmware upgrading. It is compatible with the traditional DLR, star, and linear topologies and includes two Ethernet ports and an inbuilt switch. When replacing individual components without affecting production, DLR capability improves network resilience.

Support for local expansion modules, one USB port, and the ability to utilize a secure digital card as nonvolatile memory are all features of the 1769-L19ER-BB1B controller. It can accommodate up to 8 Input/Output expansions and has a POINT Input/Output (1734) backplane. The 1769-L19ER-BB1B has 32 inputs and outputs (16 each) on its integrated Input/Output DC electronic modules.

Up to 8 Ethernet nodes can be supported on this module, and it has a 1 MB user memory. The controller's isolated integrated power supply also has a 24V dc input and a 10...28.8V dc operational voltage range. Its power connector will accept two wires with a maximum operating temperature of 75 °C (167 °F), in sizes 0.051 mm2 and 3.31 mm2 (30 AWG and 12 AWG). It has a 30VA minimum line requirement (VDC).
