TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Allen-Bradley 1769-L30ERM is a CompactLogix 1769 controller with modular and integrated motion control capabilities via an Ethernet network. The CompactLogix 5370 module supports the operation of up to 32 tasks concurrently. The module comes with 1MB of user memory and an optional unmodified 1784-SD1 card with 1GB of added memory. The current consumption of the controller at 5 volts DC is 500mA and at 24 volts is 225 mA. The 1769-L30ERM consumes a maximum power of 4.5W. The modules are 2.17 inches wide and can mount on panels and DIN rails.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-L30ERM can communicate over various networks, control distributed inputs or outputs, and send and receive messages. This module supports temporary connections from a computer through a USB connection. Ethernet/IP networks supply control services, configuration functions, and data acquisition systems.
The 1769-L30ERM offers (QoS), also known as quality of service, a feature that allows the controller to prioritize incoming traffic from the Ethernet/IP network. The Ethernet/IP devices must run with updated firmware versions to use quality of service (QoS) technology.
This 1769-L30ERM controller comes with 1GB of onboard non-volatile memory and a 1784-SD1 1MB memory card that supports transfers of modular programs without software. The module has dual ethernet ports that support linear, ring, and star topologies. Its USB port can download initial settings and tweak firmware.
This controller can manage up to four motion control axes. The module has no onboard input and output channels but supports many local 1769 package I/O modules that can intercept up to eight modules. It also supports extended I/O banks, which go up to three I/O banks.
The compatible programming software available with this controller is RSLogix 5000 and Studio 5000 Logix Designer. The programming software options are Studio 5000 Logix Designer and RSLogix 5000. IEC 61131-3 coding languages that include Relay Ladder, sequential function chart, statement list, and Functional block diagram can configure the controller’s programming.
