The Allen-Bradley 1771-ACN communication module is designed for seamless control of remote I/O on a ControlNet network, offering interoperability between Allen-Bradley products and certified third-party devices. Compatible with PLC-5/20C and PLC-5/40C processors, this module is equipped with a status display, Network Access Port, and ControlNet status indicators. It requires a backplane current of 1.0A at 5V DC and must be installed in the leftmost slot of the I/O chassis due to specific connector design and keying requirements. The 1771-ACN supports high-speed data transfers and includes a communication reset button, making it an efficient choice for complex network communications.
