The Allen-Bradley 1771-AL is an advanced PLC 2 Local I/O Adapter Module designed to ensure seamless interaction with I/O modules through the PLC 2 family processors. This module efficiently handles data exchange, receiving output image table status from the processor and transmitting input status data back, thus keeping the input image table and output terminals up-to-date. Compatible with PLC-2/20 and PLC-2/30 processors, it supports a variety of I/O chassis sizes, offering two-slot I/O-only addressing for streamlined configuration. Installation requires positioning the module in the leftmost slot of the 1771 I/O chassis. Notably, it operates with a backplane current of 700mA at 5V DC, features active and rack fault indicators, and supports parallel communication for optimal performance in industrial environments with operating conditions between 0° and 60°C.
