The Allen-Bradley 1771-ALX is a Local I/O Adapter Module designed for the PLC-5 system, ideal for extending I/O capabilities while allowing safe disconnection from the bus without disrupting backplane connections. Positioned on the leftmost slot of the 1771 I/O chassis, it supports connections up to 30 cable meters using compatible cables, with a 1771-CXT terminator plug needed to mark the end of the expansion. With a power dissipation range of 5.7 to 6.3 watts and a backplane current draw of 1.2 A at 5V DC, the module operates efficiently within a temperature range of 0 to 60°C and is designed to withstand up to 95% relative humidity in non-condensing environments.
