The Allen-Bradley 1771-DBMEM1 is a sophisticated memory module designed to expand the capabilities of a 1771-DB Basic Module in the PLC 5 series, featuring an 8-KB EEPROM and 24-KB of available user memory supported by a 32-KB battery-backed RAM. It facilitates seamless communication with PLC-5 processors and various devices via RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485, as well as remote SLC processors over the DH-485 network, making it an integral solution for data analysis and complex application logic. Operating with a communication rate between 300 and 19.2 Kbps, it ensures efficient data transfer with a block-transfer capability, while its robust design includes port-to-port and port-to-backplane isolation voltage of 500V DC and a time-of-day clock with a 10 ms resolution, fitting into a single I/O chassis slot.
