The Allen-Bradley 1771-DBMEM2 is a sophisticated memory module specifically designed to enhance the functionality of the PLC 5 1771-DB Basic Module by expanding its user memory with a 32-KB EEPROM. This module facilitates seamless communication via RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 devices and provides effective remote interfacing through the DH-485 network. With its capability for fast, processor-independent communication, the 1771-DBMEM2 offers robust solutions for data analysis and manipulation, ensuring efficient handling of complex mathematical computations. Additionally, it features a 32-KB battery-backed RAM, isolates port-to-port and port-to-backplane voltages at 500V DC, and supports an array of communication rates up to 19.2 Kbps. With the inclusion of a time-of-day clock with 10ms resolution and support for BASIC and C programming languages, the module occupies a single slot in the I/O chassis, enhancing flexibility and ease of installation.
