The Allen-Bradley 1771-DLC gray encoder input module efficiently converts gray code to binary numbers and operates with a 12 ‚ 24V DC power supply. With a compact design measuring 3 cm x 15 cm x 25 cm, and a weight of 1.3 kg, it is engineered to function within an operating temperature range of 0 - 60°C while withstanding storage conditions from -40 to 85°C in a non-condensing environment. To protect against overload, the module is capable of supporting an output of up to 70 A, drawing a conservative 120 mA from the power supply. Critical connection is facilitated through the Belden 9556 multiconductor shielded cable, maintaining a 50-foot cable limit to ensure optimal performance. The modules logic states are maintained at 10 - 27V DC for Logic 1 and 0 ‚ 2V DC for Logic 0, with a digital resolution of 1 part in 256, while keying bands ensure correct placement and alignment. Electrostatic precautions are essential, requiring static-free handling and grounding techniques to protect its sensitive components.
