The 1771-HODS module, part of the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLC 5 series, is designed to enhance connectivity in the 123 Motion Control System by facilitating ODS configuration. This module enables seamless integration between the ODS terminal and handheld pendant with the motion controller module; the handheld pendant can be connected up to 8 meters from the RS-232 port, while the ODS terminal supports connections up to 393 meters via the RS-422 connector. Offering a longline option, the 1771-HODS extends connectivity for both devices up to 1200 feet, ensuring versatile and robust integration within the system. Additionally, it features four DIN rail-mounted termination panels, including those that support Temposonic linear displacement transducers, encoders, and resolver configurations.
