The Allen-Bradley 1771-IF is a PLC 5 Analog Input Module designed for intelligent interfacing between analog inputs and PLC processors. This module offers up to 16-bit resolution for precise analog-to-digital conversions, catering to applications such as temperature and pressure sensing, level sensing, and flow metering. Featuring 8 single-ended inputs, it supports voltage ranges from 1 to 5V DC up to -10 to 10V DC, and current ranges of 4 to 20mA among others, with a channel update time of 8ms and a backplane current load of 1.3A at 5V DC. With integrated features like optoelectrical isolation and input filtering, this module enhances electrical noise reduction and transient protection, while indicators on the front panel deliver status updates via green RUN and red FAULT lights. Installation is simplified with the inclusion of a 1771-WB wiring arm, eliminating the need to disconnect wiring, and it requires a single slot in an I/O chassis with specific keying band requirements for accurate installation.
