The Allen-Bradley 1771-IFF is a versatile PLC 5 Analog Input Module designed to integrate analog signals with PLC processors using block transfer programming. It offers up to 16-bit resolution for precise analog-to-digital conversions, supporting applications such as temperature, pressure, level, and flow sensing. Featuring 16 single-ended or 8 differential inputs with selectable voltage and current ranges, this module ensures reliable performance and provides predictable fault responses with automatic user-defined configurations. Its efficient design includes a 5 to 10ms channel update time, Natural Binary or BCD scaling, and utilizes a 1771-WG wiring arm for easy module replacement without disconnecting existing wiring. With optoelectrical isolation and input filtering, the 1771-IFF effectively reduces electrical noise and protects system circuits, while enabling straightforward installation in the I/O chassis with keying bands for correct placement.
