The Allen-Bradley 1771-IXE is a versatile PLC 5 Analog Input Module designed to accommodate eight floating differential inputs for thermocouples or millivolt ranges, specifically supporting types E, J, K, T, R, and S thermocouples, as well as +/-100 millivolts. This module features block transfer read and write instructions to efficiently transmit input data to the PLC processor and installs easily in a single slot within a 1771 I/O chassis without requiring an external power source. It boasts cold junction compensation over a range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, selectable temperature scales in Celsius or Fahrenheit, and a high-resolution input conversion accuracy of 10 µV for millivolts. The 1771-IXE ensures reliable operation with self-diagnostics, automatic calibration of offset and gain, selectable high and low-temperature alarms, and indicators for power and fault status, making it ideal for precise temperature and process monitoring in industrial automation.
