The Allen-Bradley 1771-IYC is a sophisticated PLC 5 thermocouple input expander module designed to enhance the input capabilities of analog modules within a 1771 I/O chassis. Featuring 8 floating differential inputs compatible with thermocouple types B, E, J, K, T, R, and S, it seamlessly transfers input and configuration data through block transfer programming without requiring an external power supply. This module, which supports a backplane current load of 750mA at 5V with a 25ms channel update time, includes user-selectable high and low-temperature alarms, open circuit detection, and self-diagnostic capabilities, ensuring reliable performance within a 0 - 55 °C operational range.
