The Allen-Bradley 1771-KA2 is a PLC 2 Communication Adapter Module designed to enhance the functionality of PLC processors by facilitating data exchange among various PLCs and RS-232-C devices. This module integrates single PLC processors into an expansive automatic manufacturing network, supporting up to 64 processors or computers over distances up to 10,000 feet. With a communication rate of 57.6k baud for the data highway port and a power requirement of 5V DC at 1.2A, it is compatible with power supplies such as the 1771-P1 to P5 series, and can be installed in any slot of the 1771 I/O chassis, except the leftmost one. Designed for industrial environments, it operates effectively within a temperature range of 0 to 60 °C and tolerates humidity levels of 5% to 95% without condensation.
